Leith Connections

Bigg Design and Fun Makes Good have collaborated to design and install a series of street artworks around Leith Links for the City of Edinburgh Council and Sustrans.

The painting has been delivered as part of Leith Connections, which is creating safer, more relaxing spaces to walk, wheel and cycle in Leith.

Working with community groups and local school children, the project transforms three road sites in an effort to brighten up people’s journeys and make walking and cycling around Leith safer and more appealing.

The largest site, John’s Place takes an ex-road that has been reclaimed as part of the Low Traffic Neighbourhood scheme and decorates it with a sea-to-shore theme that nods to some of Leith’s rich history and the adjacent community allotments and urban croft Earth in Common.
